Obesity and Overweight

A balanced diet is needed which will give the body all the nutrients that it needs, but will less energy (cal/kJ) to cause weight loss. If the diet is too severe it can cause the metabolism to slow down and you will gain weight again, as soon as you go back to your normal eating pattern. The body must be well nourished as far as all nutrients are concerned. It helps if you have a plan that suits your lifestyle, because you need to make permanent changes to your eating habits, otherwise the weight will just come back. In other words a personalized meal plan is a good idea.
